ARK's Static Var Generator (SVG) is engineered to enhance power quality significantly. Compared to conventional Static Var Compensators (SVC) equipped with an LC system, ARK's SVG boasts numerous exceptional features. These include augmented stability, prolonged product lifespan, rapid response, extensive power range, high capacity, seamless tuning, minimal harmonics, steady system voltage, and more, all contributing to vastly improved power quality.
Power quality plays a pivotal role in determining power efficiency. Optimal power quality diminishes energy wastage and prolongs equipment longevity, thereby reducing costs. Conversely, subpar power quality stemming from harmonic distortion, reactive power, or non-linear loads tends to compromise power reliability and utility. With industries and applications increasingly integrating diverse electronic equipment into their processes, power quality distortion has emerged as a prevalent concern. The SVG offers a viable solution by effectively managing power quality.
Featuring a compact design, the SVG optimizes installation space utilization, while its high-definition color HMI delivers realistic imagery and vibrant displays. The comprehensive feature set of the SVG not only minimizes energy wastage but also lowers maintenance expenses, maximizing utility efficiency.
Conventional capacitance compensator
Step compensation, can not achieve accurate compensation. The volume of conventional capacitance compensator is large. The reactive power provided by the traditional capacitor compensator mainly comes from the capacitor bank or the reactor bank, and its output current has high harmonic content, so it needs to be equipped with a large connection reactance to filter out the high harmonic in the current.
SVG
It can realize continuous and accurate compensation of inductive and capacitive reactive power. SVG is small in size. The capacitor or reactance on the DC side of SVG is only used as reactive power exchange, which supports the voltage or current but does not participate in actual compensation, so its capacity is far less than the compensation capacity, and the harmonic content in the output current is small, so it only needs small reactance to filter out higher harmonics.
