1. Reactive power fluctuation: In its power distribution network, there are a large number of industrial loads and distributed energy resources. In the process of industrial production, the start and stop of motors and the operation of frequency conversion equipment lead to frequent and large fluctuations in reactive power demand. The traditional reactive power compensation method is difficult to accurately adapt to this dynamic change, which makes the power factor of the power grid unstable, resulting in the waste of electric energy and the reduction of the operation efficiency of the power grid.

2. Harmonic pollution: Many nonlinear load equipment, such as power electronic converters, electric arc furnaces, etc., generate a large amount of harmonic current into the grid during operation. These harmonics not only interfere with the normal operation of sensitive equipment in its own power system, such as automated control systems, metering meters, etc., but also have an adverse impact on the power quality of other users around, causing some customer complaints and potential legal risks.

ARK SVG is favored by customers with its advanced technical features and excellent performance. ARK SVG has fast dynamic response capability and can accurately track the change of reactive power of the grid in milliseconds. By monitoring the reactive power demand of the grid in real time, it can automatically adjust the output reactive current, ensuring that the power factor is always kept close to the ideal level of 1. Whether it is the sharp change of industrial load or the intermittent output of distributed energy, SVG can effectively compensate the reactive power, improve the power transmission efficiency of the grid, and reduce the loss of reactive current in the grid. ARK SVG can conduct comprehensive and accurate governance of 2-50 harmonics in the power grid. It can accurately identify the magnitude, frequency and phase of harmonic current, and then generate the opposite compensation current to effectively cancel the harmonic. This function greatly improves the power quality of the grid, protects the various sensitive equipment in the customer's power system from harmonic interference, ensures the stable operation of the automated control system and the accurate reading of the meter.

ARK's professional team worked closely with engineers from German energy customers to conduct a comprehensive survey and analysis of their existing power networks. According to the topology of power grid, load characteristics and harmonic distribution, the installation position, capacity configuration and control strategy of SVG are carefully designed. In the planning process, the expansion needs of the future power grid and possible new loads are fully considered to ensure the forward-looking and adaptable SVG system.

After the installation of ARK SVG, the power factor of the customer's power network increased from the original 0.85 (which fluctuated widely) and stabilized above 0.98. This upgrade has resulted in a significant reduction in reactive current in the grid, which, according to customer statistics, has been reduced by about 80%, effectively reducing line losses and is expected to save customers a significant amount of electricity costs each year. After harmonic control, the harmonic content in the power grid has been effectively controlled. Taking the fifth and seventh harmonics as an example, their content has been reduced from the original 10% and 8% to less than 3%, meeting the strict power quality standards in Germany. This improvement not only ensures the normal operation of the equipment in the customer's own power system, but also reduces power quality interference to nearby users and enhances the customer's reputation and image in the local energy market.
