ARK's EF040 series is a DC fast charger commonly referred to as a Level 3 EV charger. Dc fast chargers are currently the fastest charging option for electric vehicles, they use commercial-grade alternating current, which is converted to direct current within the charger and then distributed directly to the vehicle's battery, providing more power faster since the electrical energy is already converted to direct current. Dc fast charging stations are ideal for places where cars must get the maximum range in the shortest possible time. With a power output of up to 40kW and a variety of EV charging connector configurations, the EF040 has the right EV charging solution to meet your charging needs.
Our DC fast chargers provide true electric vehicle simultaneous charging and charge two electric vehicles simultaneously through smart power distribution. If a car uses a charging station, it will get up to 40kW of full power; If the second car starts using another charging cable, the power will be divided between the two cars. The EF040 Series EV chargers are OCPP1.6 compliant, with multiple connectivity levels and a variety of user interaction options.
By providing charging services for two electric vehicles simultaneously, the dual gun charging pile significantly improves the operational efficiency and space utilization of the charging station, increasing the revenue potential of the operator. The design flexibility of this charging pile allows for independent control of each charging gun, optimizing energy distribution while improving user convenience and reducing wait times, especially during peak hours. They can adapt to the charging needs of different types of electric vehicles, improve the suitability and reliability of charging stations, and even if one charging gun fails, the other can continue to work. Intelligent management systems make remote monitoring and maintenance more convenient, while this efficient charging solution also helps reduce emissions from vehicles at idle and is more environmentally friendly, thus promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and the construction of a sustainable transportation ecosystem.
The EF040 charging pile follows the OCPP 1.6 protocol, a feature that gives it significant advantages: it ensures interoperability with charging networks and energy management systems from different manufacturers, enables standardized communication and remote management, and enables operators to efficiently monitor and control charging piles. At the same time, this protocol supports the exchange of critical data, including charge volume, status, and transaction information, which is critical for billing and analytics. OCPP 1.6 also enhances the diversity of user authentication, enhances the user experience, and ensures the security of data transmission. In addition, its scalable design enables the EF040 to easily integrate future technologies, reduce costs, increase market acceptance, and support smart grid capabilities to optimize grid operation and reduce energy costs. In summary, the OCPP 1.6 compatibility of the EF040 charging pile provides it with flexibility, security and efficient management, which is essential to improve the overall performance of the charging network and user satisfaction.
The IP54 protection rating of the EF040 charging pile gives it significant utility and durability. This rating means that the charging pile can effectively prevent the intrusion of dust, while resisting the impact of splashing water, so that it can be stable in a variety of bad weather and environment. This high level of protection not only improves the reliability and safety of the equipment, but also extends its service life and reduces maintenance costs. In addition, the IP54-rated charging pile can be used in a variety of climatic conditions worldwide, enhancing its market suitability and providing users with the convenience of charging in any weather, thus enhancing the overall user experience and brand image.
The EF040 charging pile supports Ethernet, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and these diverse connectivity options provide great flexibility and adaptability, making it easy to install in a variety of environments. Whether in areas covered by a wired network or where a wireless connection is required, the EF040 delivers data stably for remote monitoring and management. This diversity of connections ensures wide coverage, staying connected online even in remote areas, while simplifying the deployment process, especially in environments where Wi-Fi networks are already in place. In addition, these connections support encrypted data transmission, enhance security, and can adapt to the development of future technologies, such as 5G networks, providing users with convenient mobile application connections and improving the overall user experience.
